Kelvis graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. His focus as an artist was cartooning and concept art, but his passion for creating always pushed him to explore other mediums such as sculpture, painting, and animation. Throughout his career as a professional designer in the fashion industry, he often found himself designing tattoos for his friends. None of which ever turned out close to his original art which encouraged him to take on tattooing and create the art on skin himself.

Tattooing has become his favorite medium to work on. He fell in love with the process of collaborating with his clients to create an original piece based on their feelings, thoughts, and bring them to life through art. In addition, he continues to create one-of-a-kind flash illustrations which are made available for tattooing through his Instagram page (@sickcrayons).
